The creation of wealth in this country continues despite economic fluctuations. Wealth disparities, and the social, environmental, cultural and humanitarian ills that naturally; stem from these disparities, continue as well.
The instincts of high net-worth individuals as well as concerned non-profit organizations to provide social benefit are running higher than ever, evidenced by proportionate annual increases in the level of giving to all causes nationwide. People of means, especially in this age of rapidly created new wealth, often lack the experience and breadth of knowledge to exercise their philanthropic intentions precisely. Many high net-worth individuals do not even consider themselves capable of wielding an influence through their giving. PDI seeks to educate this burgeoning philanthropic sector regarding their own capabilities as philanthropists and the most effective means to contribute to their social priorities. Correspondingly, non-profit organizations with similar goals to individuals of means may need assistance launching their programs, sharpening their mission statement, generating resources and managing those resources and programs effectively. |
